Monument in a beautiful garden. Erected in memory of soldiers and sailors front m Boston who died during the civil war. Construction started in 1874 and it was dedicated three years later.

Make sure to visit the Boston Common to see the Soldiers and Sailors Monument. Sculpted in 1877 by Martin Milmore, it presents portraits of many Bostonians prominent in the Civil War Period.
