I tried a salad with fried prawns, tea leaves, ginger, garlic, and green onions. It was absolutely delicious, and cost only RMB 70 with rice. Amazing value, taste, and quite nice ambiance as well.

Fried Miao style fish is the thing to come back for. Nobody else in town does it anywhere as good. Casual, has backpacker hostel vibes, but the food is good and cheap. Large portions.

Goat cheese is a must, so are the Grandma's mashed potatoes, yak meat was also very good.

Great Yunnan food, especially good for groups and vegetarians. Get the chrysanthemum starter and always double up on the goat cheese.
