Good solid “fancy” meal - probably the best higher end dining in the area. Not necessarily an outstanding meal but decent. Lamb shank and duck confit are good choices.

Had the "young beef" whatever that is. Decent. Very local Amador county wine list. Waiters that have been here forever that love to tell stories.

The mushroom cigars and the hanger steak! Wine selection is excellent, but their non-alcoholic ciders are interesting and tasty!

Traveling through the Sierra foothills on 49 between Yosemite and Tahoe? If you like an adventurous (and expensive) menu, then this might be your kind of place. Good wine selection. Great service.

Guinea hen dish was sent back, beet salad with pile of dried beets and nuts was so-so & the makegood for the entree was okay but not worth $100 for 2 simple entrees 2 modest glasses of wine & 1 app.

Somethin' different for dessert? If your a "Hoot" aficionado (Hitachino Nest), ask Annette for an Espresso Stout and vanilla gelato float.

Highly recommended: Mushroom cigars. Sounds weird, but if you're fond of mushrooms and flaky pastry, you can't go wrong.
