Worked well for us! There was a nice uniformed man that helped us with the timetable to Polignano a Mare. It's only 25 min and costs €2,50 one way - take a daytrip!

To Alberobello go to platform 11 and buy your ticket there (separate station). To Matera exit the Bari Centrale building, go to the left to FAL station.

Pretty confusing if you dont know the various train companies operating. There are two stations. Check the info counter near the entrance for trains to matera or alberobello..

Il treno (da eurostar in su)Veloce e sicuro più di un auto, più diretto di un aereo, confortevole come un camper, simile ad un ufficio con tavolo e prese elettriche. puoi portare quanti bagagli vuoi.
